FERRY BALDUR NOT OPERATING UNTIL JULY 15TH & FLATEY
Announcement from Ferjuleiðir ehf.
The Icelandic Road Administration has requested that the Breiðafjörður ferry Baldur remain in the Vestmannaeyjar Islands longer than originally planned. Baldur will operate scheduled services between Landeyjaháfn and the Vestmannaeyjar Islands until repairs to Herjólfur are completed. This is expected to be around July 15th.
Baldur is owned by the Icelandic Road Administration, which can, when circumstances require, use the vessel for sailings to and from the Vestmannaeyjar Islands.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause our passengers. And at the same time thank you for the understanding that most people have shown us in recent days. All those who have booked trips with Baldur during the period in question will be contacted.
The passenger boat Særún will continue to operate sailings to and from Flatey.
The sailing schedule is as follows:
Mondays
Departure from Stykkishólmur at 15:00
Departure from Flatey at 16:30
Tuesdays
Departure from Stykkishólmur at 15:00
Departure from Flatey at 16:30
Wednesdays
Departure from Stykkishólmur at 15:00
Departure from Flatey at 19:30
Thursdays
Departure from Stykkishólmur at 15:00
Departure from Flatey at 16:30
Fridays
Departure from Stykkishólmur at 08:00 & 15:00
Departure from Flatey at 09:30 & 16:30
Saturdays

Wednesdays
Departure from Stykkishólmur at 15:00
Departure from Flatey at 19:30
- The stopover in Flatey is for 3 hours and the return trip is made after that.*
Thursdays
Departure from Stykkishólmur at 15:00
Departure from Flatey at 16:30
- The ferry returns immediately from Flatey without any special stopover.
Fridays
Departure from Stykkishólmur at 08:00 & 15:00
Departure from Flatey at 09:30 & 16:30
- The ferry returns immediately from Flatey without any special stopover.
Saturdays
Departure from Stykkishólmur at 15:00
